DRB was founded by Doug Britton , son of a carpenter from Wanganui in 1966.

Doug an RAF pilot in WW2 was awarded a DFC for his part and this gong won him a job with W.& R. Smallbone Ltd after the war . As National Sales Manager for Smallbone’s Doug was responsible for introducing Valvolineto the New Zealand Market in 1959.

When Smallbone’s was sold in 1966 DRB was founded.

DRB has been a key automotive lubricant and auto chemical supplier to the New Zealand market for over 50 years.

The Team at DRB in association with Valvoline International have successfully developed the brand to its current prominent position in the NZ marketplace.

However the market is now calling for more options to suit the wide variety of vehicles & customer requirements. NZ has one of the most diverse range of vehicles in the world and a broad spectrum of lubricants meeting critical OEM requirements and consumers affordability levels are required.

DRB has now also been appointed National Distributor for the Professional Strength Cyclo chemical tools range.
